Application Process - Step 3

Apply black foam to sensor.
Guide the black foams top left corner to the top left sensor filter corner. Slowly let the wand descend onto the sensor, making sure it falls tightly on the top left corner of the sensor. Press down gently and make sure all corners of the black foam have contacted the sensor filter. Slowly lean the wand to one side to release the adhesion and lift. Repeat in the remaining three corners of the sensor. This will cover the entire sensor, no matter it’s size. Make sure not to touch the wand or foam to the inner side of the camera walls. Repeat this process two or three times.

If this is your first time using DUST-AID then we advise trying it out first on a piece of glass. This will help you get a feel for the utra low tack adhesive tape level of adhesion and removal. Make sure to lean the wand to one side to release the adhesion, if you lift straight up then your will exert un-needed pressure.
